Mechanics stun Formartine to move up table
FORRES Mechanics moved into fifth spot in the Highland League after a fine midweek win at Formartine United.
The Cans defeated their Pitmedden hosts 2-1 to register their sixth consecutive victory in all competitions.
Andy Macrae’s opener was cancelled out by an equaliser from ex-Forres man Archie Macphee, before centre back Graham Fraser headed in what proved to be the winner before half time.
Mechanics are just three points off top spot with a game in hand to play.

Wick came from 2-0 down to draw with visitors Clach while Huntly lost 1-0 at home to a Brora Rangers side now third in the table, level on points with Fraserburgh and Cove.
