Proper preparation proves key for Nairn

Nairn County manager Ronnie Sharp hopes that last weekend’s highly charged 5-1 victory against 10-man Huntly can kickstart their Highland League season.

After a nightmare run of games which saw Wee County play 10 times in the space of a month, including against some of the top sides in the league, Nairn had found themselves with just seven points from their opening eight league games.

But with a full week to prepare ahead of the visit of Huntly, Sharp was able to work on tactics in training and come away from a bad-tempered game with a big win.
