SCOTTISH indie band Frightened Rabbit - who were announced as part of this year's line-up for the Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival last week - have pulled their appearance.

On the band's website they explain: "We are sorry to announce that Frightened Rabbit will be unable to play this year’s Belladrum Festival.

"Yesterday we were offered a tour of the US that we simply could not turn down.

"We are very disappointed not to play this year but we hope you understand our decision.

"Belladrum is one of our favourite festivals and we know that you will all still have a lovely weekend.

"We would also like to thank the organisers for asking us to be part of their great festival and hopefully we can make it back in the future."
