man posted missing may be in Wester Ross, say police

Officers are appealing for information to help trace Dean Corless (49), who has been reported missing and is understood to be in the Highlands.

He was last seen on August 24 in the Cumnock area of Ayrshire. Police believe he is now in the Highlands, possibly Wester Ross.

Dean, who is originally from Northumbria, is described as around 5ft 9ins tall, of medium build with short grey/brown hair and a grey/brown beard.

When he was last seen he was wearing a camouflage jacket.

Any members of the public who see Dean are advised to phone police on 101 using reference number NE5557/18 rather than approach him themselves.
