Friday night derby is special for Mann

Ross Sutherland are embracing the challenge of a rare Friday derby match against Highland 2nd XV, according to head coach John Mann.

After an intermittent couple of months that have seen the Stags only play twice in six weeks, they return to action tomorrow against their closest rivals.

The sides met in the Brin Cup in September, with Highland coming out on top on that occasion.

But the encounter left a lasting impression on Mann, who is looking forward to a similarly all-action display.

“That was a brilliant game,” he recalled.
