A young woman from Wick – whose disappearance sparked a 24-hour search – has been found safe and well.

Police confirmed early Sunday afternoon that Rosemary Henderson had been found after she was reported missing on Saturday night.

They thanked the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, coastguard and the RNLI for their assistance in the search.

Ms Henderson had last been seen around 8.30pm on October 13 on Sinclair Terrace, Wick.

Police had announced their concerns for the 24-year-old’s wellbeing, and had urged anyone with information on her whereabouts to come forward.
