Police have confirmed the discovery of a body in the search for the missing woman.

Police had earlier issued an appeal for help after a large multi-agency search was launched in a bid to trace 38-year-old Zsuzsanna Kovacs.

Police officers, coastguard ground teams and helicopter, the RNLI and local mountain rescue teams joined the search following a concerned call received at around 8.45am today.

Police said this afternoon that a body had been recovered.

A statement said: "The family of Zsuzsanna Kovacs has been informed however formal identification has yet to take place.

"We would like to thank everyone who shared our appeal for information today and to all those assisted with the search.

"Our thoughts are with the family Zsuzsanna at this very sad time."
