Fatherson's new album instore
SCOTTISH band Fatherson will be playing live and signing their new album at HMV Inverness on Sunday, September 16 at 1pm.
To celebrate the release of their third album Sum Of All Your Parts, the Scottish alt-rockers will perform and sign albums at stores in Inverness and Glasgow and Inverness.
Having supported Biffy Clyro, Frightened Rabbit and Idlewild, the band signings will be a great chance to see one of Scotland’s most exciting live acts perform in an intimate setting ahead of their October UK tour.
Speaking about the band’s roots, singer and guitarist Ross Leighton said “When you’re away on tour for a long time and you haven’t been back home, there’s a realism in people there that’s very refreshing to come back to.
“I think the music encapsulates that quite well.”
It’s an attitude that Ross’s songwriting feeds off.
“There’s an element of not being allowed to be too big for your boots!” he laughed. “Your ego will get pummelled out of you as soon as you get home, and that’s good grounding”
Fatherson had a headline gig at the Ironworks last spring and in the past have played Belladrum, Brew At the Bog and many dates at smaller Highland venues.
The three-piece also visited Inverness HMV to play tracks from their last album Open Book, follow-up to the band’s self-produced
self-released 2014 debut, I Am An Island.
