Five new names for RockNess
FIVE more names have just been released for June's RockNess festival from June 10 to 12.
Bombay Bicycle Club, Sparrow And The Workshop, Afghan Raiders, Callum Wright aka D/R/U/G/S and Funeral Suits have just been announced.
RockNess director Jim King commented: “We’re really pleased to announce that Bombay Bicycle Club will be performing at RockNess. They fit perfectly into the Saturday Goldenvoice arena and are a really great live band to catch at the festival.”
With their third album set for release in June, Bombay Bicycle Club will be making the journey to Dores on Saturday June 11 with a mix of their new material and classic tracks from their first two albums.
Folk-rock trio Sparrow and the Workshop will be playing on the Sunday at RockNess to showcase their music which mixes up pop, rock and traditional folk.
San Franciscan alt-electro three-piece Afghan Raiders join the party on the Sunday.
Manchester's ambient techno act Callum Wright AKA D/R/U/G/S is set to bring his DIY electronica to the festival this summer.
And final name on the latest list is Irish trio Funeral Suits - whose debut album has been produced by Stephen Street. Their debut single is already enjoying support from Zane Lowe, Steve Lamacq and Huw Stephens.
