New flats open at The Needle

THE keys to 12 new affordable homes in Forres have been handed over.

Housebuilder Springfield Properties, in partnership with Moray Council, completed the one-bedroom cottage flats at Strathcona Road.

Local councillor George Alexander was delighted to visit, despite the rain.

He said: "These flats have really tidied up that area and will help reduce Moray's housing waiting list.

"Half of the flats have been allocated to people with Forres connections."
