CONCERNED volunteers are warning of a dangerous misconception about the right of way on a local road.

Findhorn and Kinloss Community Council (FKCC) have reviewed dash-cam video evidence of a man cycling the wrong way on the Sustrans cycle path near the Seapark Filling Station.

FKCC member Bob James is reminding the public that UK cycle paths do not work the same way as those elsewhere.

He said: "The video shows the cyclist obviously thinking he is in the right by pointing down to the picture of the white-painted bicycle on the red Tarmac surface. He is wrong and we had this confirmed at the last FKCC meeting by a traffic police constable. She confirmed that these cycle lanes are one way, which is with the traffic flow."
