Firefighters extinguish blaze at flats

Firefighters have extinguished a blaze at a block of flats in Dundee.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) sent seven fire engines and specialist resources to the incident in Roslin Gardens when the alarm was raised just before 5am on Monday.

SFRS said about 42 firefighters and a number of officers were at the scene at the height of the incident.

The blaze was extinguished by 11am and the last fire engine left the scene late on Monday morning.

There were no reports of any injuries.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 5.05am on Monday, 14 July 2025, we were made aware of a fire at a property in the Roslin Gardens area of Dundee.

“The fire has been extinguished and emergency services remain in attendance.”
