KINGUSSIE travelled to Glenurquhart for their Macaulay Cup tie, and were 2-0 up in the first eleven minutes from an opening strike in two minutes by Ronald Ross, plus one from Ryan Borthwick.

Lewis Maclennan pulled one back for the Drumnadrochit outfit on 28 minutes to leave the match poised at 2-1 on half time.

In the second period, however, Craig Dawson fired home on the 59 minute mark, and Ross sealed the tie four minutes later.

Premier League leaders, Kyles Athletic, demolished Glenorchy, netting 11 without reply, including four apiece for Roddy MacDonald and Grant Irvine, but the first half had only seen two goals before the second half onslaught. Glasgow Mid Argyll were also big winners, 8-2 against Oban Celtic, but there were two huge surprises, with Bute knocking out Inveraray thanks to a single goal on 77 minutes from David Whitelaw, while Fort William were beaten by Lovat at Kiltarlity.

Jamie Matheson gave Lovat the lead on 18 minutes, then Bryan Simpson levelled six minutes later. Ten minutes into the second half, Fraser Gallagher stung Fort William with what proved to be the winning goal as Lovat repelled all that the Fort could muster.

Kilmallie have the bragging rights over Lochaber after a 4-1 win at Spean Bridge. Lochaber had taken the lead in 23 minutes through Lachie Campbell, but a flurry of second half goals from Liam MacDonald, Peter MacIntyre (2) and John Stewart sank Lochaber.
