A VIOLINIST who is preparing to climb to Mount Everest base camp took time off from her training to raise money for charity in Moray.
Kate Chruscicka will be part of a trek up Everest in November.
The Leeds-based musician was in Moray this week as part of her training for the adventure which is in support of Cancer Research UK.
Kate revealed she has lost family members to cancer.
In recent years she has raised more than £30,000 for Cancer Research UK.
She was in Elgin city centre on Monday during a break from training, playing her violin for shoppers.
She was collecting donations for the charity.
