CAITHNESS under-14s rugby side opened their Caledonian North League season with a convincing 56-19 win over Moray in Elgin.

The junior Greens had something of a player crisis with their hosts kindly lending them four players to supplement the 10 that travelled.

They quickly got the journey out of their system, scoring their first try after just two minutes from Jordan Miller which was his first of five over the course of the afternoon. He was also involved in a very well-executed move which ended with Michael Elder touching down under the posts.

The best individual try of the day came from Aiden Sinclair who powered in from 60 metres.

The Caithness boys dominated the game and thoroughly deserved their win.

Team: Jordan Miller, Michael Elder, Aiden Sinclair, Michael Bailey, Tanner Casper, Craig Kennedy, Lewis Mackay, Stuart Kirk, Michael Macgregor and Ryan Steven.
