Inverness pilot escapes after plane overturns

A light aircraft overturned whilst landing at Dornoch airstrip on Saturday afternoon.

The incident, involving a Piper Tomahawk single engine aircraft, happened at 4.30pm, but the pilot, who is from the Inverness area, managed to escape uninjured.

Emergency services attended the scene and the area was made safe.

The aircraft belongs to a local flying club.
