IT can be murder on the dance floor during a night out – at least it can be for your tired tootsies.

No sooner have you started tripping the light fantastic in those crazy high heels you’ve had tucked away, than the balls of your feed start to pound and the shoes start to pinch.

But fear not! Cocorose London have created some foldable ballet pumps and Tried and Tested gave them a whirl.

The footwear, which comes in 18 designs, is certainly pretty and they are super comfortable. There would be no shame in wearing them and with so many designs there is no doubt you would find one to go with your outfit.

The shoes which do fold up pretty small come in a black purse, with a hidden back pocket that holds a black satin mini-shoulder-bag – the idea being that the shoulder bag can be used for your skyscraper heels when they start to hurt.

It’s a clever concept but with two major flaws.

The bag the shoes come in is not all that pretty and in actual fact looks like an oversized camera case. You wouldn’t really want to be lugging it around as well as your handbag or clutch.

And the price is also a factor – at between £30-£45 they are not cheap. You can get ballet pumps style shoes at a number of outlets for less than half the price – albeit not as pretty as these ones.

These looked and felt great and would make a thoughtful gift for a disco diva – otherwise save yourself some pennies and bag a cheaper pair.
