Three young girls charged with Lossiemouth vandalism

THREE young girls aged between 10 and 12 have been charged in connection with vandalism and youth disorder in Lossiemouth.

Police carried out an investigation into a number of incidents in the Moray town's Stotfield Road area where property had been damaged and instances of disorder reported.

And as a result of the investigation, Grampian Police confirmed that three girls aged 12, 11 and 10 have been charged and are to be reported to the Children's Reporter.

The incidents took place this year between March 11 and May 18, and included vandalism to property and throwing stones at passing cars.

Investigating Officer, Constable Paul Thompson said, "I would like to thank the public for coming forward with information which has helped detect these crimes."
