Motorists are being warned about more road works on the A95 Aviemore-Keith road from this Wednesday.

Transport Scotland’s contractor will be resurfacing a 500 metre section of the A95 at Dowans Brae in Aberlour.

This will involve the resurfacing of both lanes of the carriageway.

The work costing £78,000 is expected to last for three days.

For the safety of workers and motorists, the works will be carried out between 8am and 5pm, using temporary traffic signals, and a convoy system of traffic management with a 10mph speed limit.

Traffic signals will remain in place during overnight periods.

Mr Eddie Ross, BEAR Scotland’s North East Unit Representative, said: "This section of road is worn out and needs to be resurfaced.

"The works are being carried out using convoy working to avoid closure of the A95 and the lengthy diversions which would result.

"Some delays are possible. We would therefore, encourage motorists to plan their journeys in advance and allow some extra time."
