The search for missing Londoner Marc Drostie has shfited to the Glenmore area this afternoon.

Social media has been reporting plenty of police activity in the tourist hotspot around the Loch Morlich woodlands.

No further update has been possible at this stage but developments are being awaited after Mr Drostie’s disappearance from London on December 12.

Police have been following up several tip-offs from the public but have again confirmed they are growing increasingly concerned for the missing man’s welfare.

In an update on Monday they revealed that they had since received several reports of sightings of him in the Abernethy National Nature Reserve.

But officers say that the more time that passes the more their concerns for his wellbeing grow.

Public assistance is still urgently needed to back up the search

Marc is described as a white man, around 5ft 9in tall, slim build, with dark hair. He is believed to be wearing a black puffer jacket and carrying a blue rucksack.

“Anyone with sightings or information of where Marc may be, please call Police Scotland on 101 and quote ‘reference 1774 of December 21’.”
