Missing man traced after Highland alert

Police in Fife who appealed for help in the Highland area to find a 51-year-old man missing from his home in Glenrothes have confirmed he has been traced.
Ricky Smith had last seen by his family on January 26 January at his address in Markinch and has not had not contacted them since.
"Information suggests that he may also be frequenting the Highlands area," said a Police spokesperson earlier today (February 6), but tonight police confirmed Mr Smith had been found.
"We can confirm that missing person Ricky Smith, who we issued an appeal for earlier today, has now been traced safe and well.
"We would like to thank the public for their assistance."
