A man has been taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness earlier today after a crash on the A9 near Aviemore.

A police spokesman said: "The road was closed for a short period this morning following a single vehicle road traffic collision.

"We received reports of a van having been in a collision at the Granish junction around 9.45am.

"A man was taken to Raigmore Hospital with injuries but they are not thought to be life threatening."

Both lanes of the A9 reopened shortly before 10.30am. The details of the injured man have not been released.
