A 36 year-old man is due to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court next week in connection with a drug haul police have netted with a street value of £100,000.

The man was arrested in the Inverness city centre yesterday (Thursday) and found to be in possession of Class A drugs.

Detective Inspector Gordon Fowler said: "Police Scotland are committed to targeting those who are involved in this type of crime and this recent recovery highlights the further evidence that police will not tolerate those who are involved in the supply of controlled drugs, using all available resources within our disposal.

"Information received from members of the public is crucial in the course of police investigations and we rely on your continued support."

Anyone with information about drug dealers in their local area is asked to contact police on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
