A Liverpool man has appeared in private at Inverness Sheriff Court in connection with the alleged supply of drugs in the city after the seizure of £45,000 worth of heroin by police.

Stephen Crawford, (39), appeared on petition charged with being involved in the supply of diamorphine (heroin) in Millerton Avenue on December 1 and a further charge of driving dangerously in Inverness on the same date.

Depute Fiscal Heather Swan said Crawford appeared before Sheriff Margaret Neilson. He made no plea of declaration and he was committed for further examination and released on bail with a condition that he does not enter Scotland.
