Lorry driver taken to Raigmore Hospital after A95 crash

A lorry driver had to be taken to hospital after being injured when his vehicle crashed off the A95 by Boat of Garten yesterday evening.

The accident happened at around 5.35pm on the Aviemore-Keith road.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police and emergency services were called to a single vehicle road crash in which an HGV had left the A95 near to Boat of Garten.

"The male driver of the lorry has been by ambulance to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness for treatment."

Eye-witnesses said that the vehicle involved was a tanker and it had 'taken some of the road with it and the verge'.

They were warning motorists to pass the section of the whisky road with care.
