The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service are still tackling a fire at a Strathspey farm chalet after nearly six hours.

It was just after 3.30 this afternoon that the service despatched two brigades to Mains of Garten Farm on the B970 between Boat of Garten and Nethybridge.

Crews from Aviemore and Grantown were soon at the farm and trying to bring the fire under control.

There were no reports of any injuries in the blaze.

Police Scotland said they were not in attendance this evening.

But the SFRS confirmed that one crew was still playing a jet into the smoke at scene even at 9.30.

We will have more details in due course.
