Vote after Cromdale service is 64-1

Strathspey’s linked charges have been introduced to the sole nominee for the job as their new Minister.

Rev Elizabeth Jade MacLean preached on Sunday and received a vote of acceptance by 64 to one.

“This is the combined vote of Cromdale & Advie and Grantown & Dulnain Bridge members eligible to vote,” reported session clerk Bill Steele.

“The combined number of eligible people to vote was slightly over 200.

“Rev MacLean has accepted the post as our new Minister but it could be December before all the legal processes are completed and she will start on the next phase.”
