Kingussie Shinty Club's last salute to legendary 'keeper





Rab Muir took one last trip down to The Dell today on his way to his resting place in Kingussie Cemetery.

Club members and friends from his long and eventful life turned out to salute his contribution not just to shinty – as a legendary goalkeeper over an immensely successful four-decade career with the club – but to sport and the community in general, in so many varied roles including dairyman, coalman and gardener.

In his 80th year, Mr Muir died on July 23 and is the subject of Past Lives in this week's Strathy.
