Kingussie saw a record Food on Film Festival this week.

Over four festive days director Lydie Bocquillon and her team welcomed visitors from all parts of Scotland and beyond: “It was an amazing turnout, with fantastic support from local communities - a real gathering and feel-good event!

“Every year we say it was better than last year and it was definitely true this year too!

“We had a full house on the opening night and almost 1000 in Saturday’s food hall, its highest attendance to date. There were more than 60 on Sunday for the carvery - overall, a great achievement with a great team of dedicated volunteers who every year work very hard to make it a success. Not bad for a small town in the Highlands in February!

“We’ve had fantastic producers, great demos, delicious tastings, a busy Kids zone, overall a wonderful experience with overwhelming comments being made from visitors and locals.

“It was very emotional to say goodbye to Pennie Latin after hosting the food hall for the last three years, but we never knowm she might just pop back in again some time.

“Christopher Trotter’s demonstration was really well received too.”
