Rotary Club members Tony Burly and Alan Rankin captivated the students with live demonstrations, showcasing how the Aquabox filter transforms contaminated water into safe, clean drinking water. They highlighted the devastating reality that an estimated 1,000 children worldwide die each day due to lack of access to clean water.

Mr. Burly explained, "Clean water is a fundamental human right. The pupils’ overwhelming enthusiasm and the incredible amount raised will make a significant impact on those facing unimaginable hardship. We are truly grateful." He further explained that a single Aquabox family filter, costing £150, can purify up to half a million litres of water, while a community filter costing £250 can provide 1 million litres, enough clean water for a year for a village the size of Carrbridge.

Alan Rankin extended heartfelt thanks to the school for their extraordinary efforts and added. “ The money raised by Kingussie PS will fund a community filter and make a huge difference to many children and families who are less fortunate and facing hardship.”
