Kingussie High School to reopen to junior years after Covid closure
Kingussie High School will be back open to S1-S3 pupils from Monday.
The school has been closed to the junior years since Tuesday because of a staff shortage due to Covid and self-isolating.
Headteacher Ian Adamson has thanked parents for their support and understanding during what he described as a 'difficult period'.
He said: "There has been some excellent work done by pupils working from home and the seniors who were in school have benefited from valuable time completing coursework and revising for SQA exams.
As we enter the last week of term I would encourage pupils to wear face coverings on the school transport as this will help us contain Covid-19 and reduce the chance of transmission."
Meanwhile NHS Highland will be in school next Wednesday to deliver the next part of the Covid programme to pupils who requiring either a first or second dose of the vaccine.
Pupils aged 12-15 must complete and return a consent form to the office by Tuesday. Pupils aged 16 and over can self consent on the day.
Consent forms were issued in mid January but those in need of new forms can contact the school.
