Pupils at the strath's largest school will get an unexpected half day away from their classrooms tomorrow.

Kingussie High School has said that it will be closed due to staff shortages and apologised for any inconvenience. The school operates a half-day on Fridays.

Headteacher Ian Adamson told parents in correspondence: "Due to a staffing shortage Kingussie High School will be closed tomorrow.

"Work will be available on Google Classroom to allow pupils to work at home online."

The Strathy has contacted the school for further details.
