Kingussie Food on Film fest returns
Triumphantly returning for an eighth successive year, the Kingussie Food on Film Festival will be serving up “four days of splendour” at the start of the New Year.
The festival has been confirmed to run from Thursday February 5th to Sunday February 8th and is offering a tasty menu of foodie films, the return of the “We Want Your Loaf” competition, creative events and the mouth-watering food hall, stocked with artisan food producers displaying their fine creations.
The festival is one of a number of events in Badenoch and Strathspey that contributes to Scotland’s Year of Food and Drink; however, it promises to deliver an explosion of all the senses.
The attendance figures speak for themselves, with visitor numbers growing from a few hundred at the outset to now attracting several thousand repeat visitors.
The team of volunteers behind the festival believe this is down to fact that it has a well-established history of good quality events, community participation and of course the love of good local food!
The community having fun during what is usually a fairly quiet time in the calendar has always been a focus of the festival and has helped to make it the success it has become.
The 2015 line-up has now been confirmed, with a great mix of some classics, cultural feasts, home-grown creative films, and a big bold new movie.
