Showing the way again at "Carvebridge" was Michael Tamoszus.
The German master carver defied the weekend's appalling weather to shine a light all his own on the showground at Carrbridge's famous annual chainsaw sculpting championship.
Last year his little girl was caught in a gale to claim all the honours, while yesterday (Saturday, August 31), she was caught in the rain, but her lamp was safely covered in a glass holder!
Once again the evenbt drew top competitors from around the globe.
Don't miss Thursday's Strathy.
