UPDATE: Kessock Bridge re-opens after earlier police incident

A MAJOR transport link on the A9 through the Highlands has re-opened following an earlier incident.

The Kessock Bridge has re-opened to traffic after being closed at around 8.10pm yesterday due to a police incident.

Traffic had been tailing back on approaches to the bridge.

Traffic Scotland declared it open again at around 10.40pm.
