A9 fully open again at Dalnaspidal after lorries' troubles





Motorists are no longer being advised to avoid the A9 between House of Bruar and Dalwhinnie.

The road was declared fully open at 11.20 this morning.

A series of lorry problems began late last night and caused disruption until nearly lunchtime today.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police were made aware of a lorry having jack-knifed on the A9 southbound near Dalnaspidal around 12.15am.

“Reports were received of a further five lorries having jack-knifed in the area and the road was closed between House of Bruar and Dalwhinnie.

“Around 2am, officers at the scene were made aware of a further lorry having jack-knifed at the scene.

“The road was reopened around 11.20am.”
