Eden Court will once again be holding open auditions for youngsters aged 9-16 to be part of the Junior Chorus for their Christmas pantomime Dick Whittington.

Those children who are successful in gaining a place in the show will be starring alongside Eden Court favourite Ross Allan as Idle Jack and Steven Wren as Sarah the Cook.

Steve Boden, from Imagine Theatre, who are producing the Inverness panto, said: "We feel the open auditions are a really important part of the pantomime process as it is a wonderful way for the local community to get involved and it gives any child who wants to be part of the panto the opportunity to do so.

"For any youngster who is thinking of going in to the entertainment business it is a great chance to work on a professional production and get a feel for exactly what it is like.

"Live theatre is a lot of hard work but great fun as well."

Application forms and more information on the auditions taking place on Sunday August 28 can be downloaded from either www.eden-court.co.uk or www.imaginetheatre.co.uk.

They do not need to be submitted in advance and will also be available on the day if required, although where possible please complete them in advance and bring with you to save time on audition day.

Dick Whittington runs from Tuesday 6th December 2016 until Sunday 8th January 2017. For more information or to book tickets call the Eden Court box office on 01463 234234 or visit the website www.eden-court.co.uk
