Free rides for the disabled in Cairngorms
A Cairngorms mobile activity provider is offering free taster sessions for the disabled who are feeling adventurous.
Able2Adventure is supporting the local community with 45-minute taster sessions on their adaptive bikes and off-road wheelchairs on Good Friday at Glenmore's Badaguish Outdoor Centre.
Gemma Hendry told the Strathy: "There are limited slots available so people will need to get in touch to book a slot.
"The sessions are available for disabled people of all ages and those with limited mobility.
"People can bring their family and friends and will have a dedicated coach and the full fleet of adaptive bikes or wheelchairs to choose from."
The company is a mobile outdoor activity provider for people of all ages and abilities based in the Cairngorms.
"We use adaptive equipment and a 'can do' approach to make the outdoors accessible to all," said Gemma.
The facility runs large range of outdoor activities as taster sessions, skills courses, multi activity programs or as part of local clubs. They can be for individuals, families, groups of friends, schools and organisations.
"Our staff have over 10 years' experience working with people of all abilities in the outdoor activity sector. We understand the importance of venues with fully accessible facilities, methods of transfer, postural support and differing communication needs – the outdoors should be available to all and ensure our activities encourage independence and fun."
