It is going to be -62C in Aviemore tomorrow night...
Revellers might want to wrap up warmer than usual for a September night tomorrow evening with temperatures forecast to plummet to -62C in the strath...
Well that's according to the BBC Weather app which appears to be playing up again after similar problems in the summer.
Temperatures in Aviemore are forecast to peak at 13C through the daytime and then plunge to -62C at midnight tomorrow while neighbouring Kingussie will be a numbing -52C.
Grantown, by comparison, will get off more lightly with just a night time low of -38C forecast.
In June, a similarly strange anomaly on the BBC's weather forecasting app and website sparked confusion and much comment UK wide on social media.
The broadcaster was predicting temperatures of between 6C and 8C across Europe for two days in the middle of a heatwave.
There were similarly low temperatures in the UK which most years might have not been too far off but the weather was also baking hot at the time.
The BBC blamed a third party supplier for the problem with temperatures of just 7C showing including on in the BBC TV forecast.
But if you are going out don't worry too much – the Met Office is forecasting night time of lows 7C which are normal for this time of year meaning that the ski goggles and thermal mittens can be left at home.
It appears that the atmosphere at BBC Broadcasting House might be getting quite chilly again following this latest blooper on their app.
However, a quick straw poll of other parts of the UK show that normal temperatures for the time of year including in Inverness, London and Edinburgh.
The Strathy has contacted the BBC for comment.
