Invite to dip into Aviemore lochan
Highland Council Countryside Rangers are inviting families to join in the fun tomorrow (Wednesday) at Loch Vaa just north of Aviemore.
Loch Vaa is a spring-fed loch which is home to many amazing creatures such as dragonfly nymphs and fish, whilst newts, frogs and toads can be found in the near-by smaller ponds.
There will be chance between 2pm and 4pm to peek into the murky depths of the loch and near-by ponds to see what can be spotted.
Ranger Saranne Bish from said: “Everyone enjoys guddling about in water.
"Come along and see for yourself what fabulous creepy crawlies choose to live in and on the water within this amazing natural setting."
The cost of the event is £4 for adults/£3 concession or £11 for families.
Anyone coming along should bring wellies and waterproofs and park in the Laggantygown Cemetery car park (Grid ref: NH 910 174).
