Highland conference set to focus on climate change
The Highland Climate Change Conference is set to take place on Thursday and Friday.
The event will bring people together from across and beyond Highland to discuss the climate and ecological emergency, ahead of COP26 next month.
Delegates will explore topics relating to energy, land and sea, reaching net zero and building resilient communities.
Chair of the council's climate change working group, Trish Robertson, said: "We have an opportunity to get together again to learn more about what we can do to address the climate emergency, building on the successful online conference we hosted last year.
“Within the context of COP26 being held in Glasgow, this is set to be the most important and impactful climate change conference we have ever held.”
This year’s conference and associated workshops will all take place online and over two days. It will be completely free to attend.
It will feature speakers from Government, organisations, climate groups, community groups and individuals taking action to tackle the climate and ecological emergency.
Information and details about how to sign up for the conference can be found on Highland Council's website.
