UPDATE: Temporary road closure – Stadium Road, Inverness

The Highland Council has been advised that the contractor, working on behalf of Bear (Scotland) Ltd, no longer requires the road to be closed overnight tonight.

They have decided to change their work method, which will enable them to accommodate traffic along Stadium Road.

Motorists were yesterday advised by the council that there would be a temporary Stadium Road closure between its junction with the U4108 Longman Drive and its junction with the M9/A9 Edinburgh – Stirling – Thurso Trunk Road.

The temporary closure was planned from 8pm tonight until 5am tomorrow.

The closure was thought necessary to enable a contractor, working on behalf of Bear (Scotland) Ltd, to progress with the Kessock Bridge painting scheme.
