Trains between Inverness and the central belt have suffered minor disruptions throughout the day because of the weather.
Latest update from Scot Rail confirms delays to services between Edinburgh and Inverness and the Highland capital and Glasgow Queen Street have experienced certain hold ups.
"Because of a speed restriction because of severe weather earlier today disruption is expected to last until around 19:00 today (August 19) to Edinburgh Waverley."
But train services between Glasgow Queen Street and Inverness are returning to normal: "Services are now running as scheduled, we are trying to recover our service and get things back to normal as fast as we can and apologise for the disruption during this time."
