Man accused of attempted murder in Fort Augustus

A man has appeared in private charged with the attempted murder of a woman with a knife at an address in Fort Augustus.

James Ellison, (62), of Fort Augustus is charged with committing the offence on January 5.

He made no plea or declaration in his appearance before Sheriff Margaret Neilson.

Depute fiscal Michelle Mooney said he was remanded in custody pending further enquiry.
