RAF Lossiemouth has announced that there is a likelihood of low-flying Chinooks in the Highlands at night.

“Two Chinooks from RAF Odiham will be operating from Lossie for the next two weeks,” the service posted tonight.

”They'll be flying day and night, on sorties that will see them operate as low as 100ft.

“Horse riders are kindly asked to wear hi-vis, so they be clearly seen, and avoided.

”Exercises like this are vital to ensuring that pilots and crews are ready to deploy operationally.”
