Help is at hand for firms in Badenoch and Strathspey wanting to unlock their growth potential.

This year’s Highland Business Week, which starts next Tuesday (September 23), will focus on recruitment and training.

Businesses across the region will have the chance to learn about improving recruitment, training and growth at an event hosted by Skills Development Scotland (SDS) and Business Gateway.

Spotlight On Your Workforce will feature a range of short workshops offering information and advice to local firms.

The free event, at the Kingsmills Hotel in Inverness, takes place from 10am onwards and runs alongside the Highland Spotlight Business Exhibition, part of Highland Business Week.

Aviemore-based Anna Dawson, Employer Engagement Adviser at SDS, explained the event is ideal for businesses who are keen on growing through recruitment and training and on tapping into support and funding.

She said: "SDS supports all manner of businesses across Highland and Moray to make sure they have access to the skills they need to grow.

"We can offer support on funding for skills development, taking on modern apprentices, skills planning and HR support or recruitment.

"Our event is suitable for any firm looking for advice on those topics, with our three 60-minute workshops being ideal for any business looking to maximise its growth potential."
