Kingussie High School head announces an ‘Easter’ departure after 12 years

SCHOOL LEAVER: KHS head Ian Adamson has announced he is to take up another headship in Inverness.

It’s all change at Kingussie High School - says the head teacher.

Ian Adamson has announced that he is to leave his post for a new one in Inverness shortly.

Mr Adamson is informing parents and carers: “I am writing to share with you that I will be leaving Kingussie High School to take up the post of head teacher at Inverness Royal Academy.

“I don’t have an official start date yet but it looks likely it will be after the Easter holidays.”

Mr Adamson said he was really excited about the new challenge awaiting him.

“However, I am sad to be leaving Kingussie High School after nearly 12 years.

“Kingussie is a great school with fantastic pupils, staff, parents/carers and a supportive community.

“I have so many speclal Kingussie High School memories and I will take these with me to my new school./

“I really have loved working with your children and I would like to thank you for all the support I have received in my time at Kingussie High School.”

He assured the school community that as soon as he had more information about a confirmed start date and the plans for the Kingussie High School moving forward he would share them.
