Has missing Aviemore man James Brannan headed to Glasgow?
A family member has suggested that James Brannan – who has not been spotted for 10 days – could have travelled to Glasgow.
Mr Brannan (72) was last seen on Saturday, February 5 near Spey Valley Golf Club in Aviemore, and searches are ongoing in the area.
His nephew, Andy Calder, is concerned that James, who he said struggles with confusion, has tried to make his way to Glasgow as he has links to the city.
Mr Calder told the city press: "My uncle hasn't been too well over the years and can become confused so it is a worry that he has been gone for so long.
"The hope was that he has got on a train or bus to Glasgow, where he was originally from but nobody in our family has heard from him.
"This was the Baillieston area of Glasgow he had links to.
"It is possible if he has found someone he is not able to explain himself very well."
Yesterday police issued the latest image of Mr Brannan, recorded on CCTV.
The picture was not taken on the day he was reported missing.
It does, however show him in the clothing he was last known to be wearing and is a good likeness of his recent appearance.
Anyone who has information regarding his whereabouts or believes they may have seen him at any time since Saturday 5 is asked to contact 101, quoting reference number 1601 of 8 February.
"We would also be keen to speak to anyone who may have dashcam or private CCTV footage which may help," said a police spokesperson.
"We would continue urge anyone who lives locally and has a shed or outbuilding where someone could seek shelter to check this and report anything of note to police."
Mr Brannan was wearing blue jeans, a dark winter jacket and walking boots.
