Women between the ages of 50 and 70 who are registered with Grantown Medical Practice will be invited to attend the unit in Grant House Resource Centre car park from Monday until Friday, November 29.

The mobile screening unit is equipped with state of the art breast x-ray (mammography) equipment and staffed by an experienced all-female team.

"NHS Highland would like to encourage all women who are invited to breast screening to consider taking up the opportunity," the spokesperson added.

"The combination of being 'breast aware' and knowing what is normal for you, reporting any changes to your GP as soon as possible and attending regular breast screening appointments is the best way of finding breast cancer at an early stage and increasing your chances of surviving it."
