Grantown practice's update on vaccine
Grantown doctors are to contact priority patients as soon as they receive information on the arrival of the Covid-19 vaccines.
At the same time they have warned local people not to pay anyone any money to get the job done.
In a post today, the GPs say: "There has been lots of information in the news regarding Covid vaccinations being rolled out, so we wanted to update you on the current situation at the Glenlivet and Grantown Practices.
"Both NHS Grampian and NHS Highland are waiting for information on when we will receive supplies of the Covid Vaccine.
"This is likely to be the Oxford AstraZeneca C-19 vaccine as it can be kept in Practice in the correct temperature conditions.
"We will contact patients in the Priority groups as we receive information about when the vaccines arrive and how many we will receive in each delivery.
"In the meantime, please do not contact the Practices asking about the vaccinations and beware of anyone asking for money to get the vaccine done (it is free for all the population).
"We will let you know as soon as we have further information on when supplies will become available."
